The error message should look like this:

To remedy this, you can simply log back in from a device of your choice and your account will automatically become active again.

The most common examples are posting content that does not follow the guidelines. Instagram community rules and Terms of use (eg illegal activities, hate speech, discriminatory words, violent content, nudity…).
What you should know is that the platform Instagram will never give you the exact reason for your account deactivation. But it will never be indicated precisely which term was infringed.

Know that in both cases, it will be necessary to appeal. We suggest you try method 1 first, before trying method 2; but this is not an obligation.
1 - Call on the Instagram mobile application

By clicking on the "Learn more" button, you will be redirected to the review request options.
From this step, just follow the instructions. Then submit your appeal, taking care to give as much detail as possible.

Usually, the appeal request is processed within a from 1 to 7 days, before Instagram reactivates your account.
During this time, be sure to regularly check your mailbox associated with your Instagram account.
The internal Instagram team can send you more information about the status of your call: activated or rejected. You may also simply be asked to log into your account to see if it has been reactivated or not.
If by mistake you have repeatedly submitted your proof of identity, be careful not to re-submit it and continue to wait for a response.

Hello Lucia,
I've been trying for more than 6 months and it still doesn't work, I realize and accept my leave… I can't even send a text in my form recently.. I give up!
Good evening, my account was deactivated even though I did nothing illegal, this had already happened to me last year and I was able to reactivate my account, I have been trying to activate it for 3 days and then they tell me that my account is permanently disabled. This is nonsense, I'm really angry. Thank you in advance if anyone has a solution I wouldn't want to lose all the photos I put!!!!
Hi Carmen, as you said, if this has happened before and you were able to get it back, don't lose hope. I suggest you keep reaching out to support, even though they may take a while to respond. Use all available channels of communication, from their help page to their official social media accounts.
At the same time, sharing your situation (without giving sensitive information) on online platforms could help draw attention to your case. Good luck and I hope you can get your photos back soon!
I have been trying to recover my account for 3 months and the solution does not work at all!
I'm sorry to hear that the solutions you tried to recover your disabled Instagram account didn't work. In this case, I recommend that you contact Instagram support directly for assistance. They are in the best position to help you solve the problem.
yes jagry
I did everything but I can't even send this form
Hello Emilie I have the same problem as you for my page which is a plumbing company… impossible to send the form… did you manage to do something?
Since I try to recover my account I am told this: Learn more about your account
Your account has been deleted because
it goes against our terms and conditions
. You will no longer be able to log into this account and no one will be able to see it. We are unable to reinstate accounts that have been deleted due to these types of violations.
Please I need help because my Instagram page is very important to me, in addition to that of Facebook also doesn't work
Did you follow the steps suggested in the article?
Hello everybody
I hope I can find the help I need here, because I am desperate to have an Insta account deactivated, especially because I lost all my contacts (not having them all on fb).
Here's what happened: I was on the subway, someone sent me an airdrop that I have, being writing at the time, accepted without doing it on purpose, it was a photo of a naked child. I'm stupid but I clearly didn't think about it and sent it by insta message to a friend telling him that it was nonsense because a stranger had just sent me this. At no time did I post the photo or make fun of this photo, I simply sent it in PM (even if I am clearly aware that I should not have and regret bitterly).
So I, the same day, filled out the form, as indicated on this forum, explaining the truth.
2 weeks have passed and I have no answers.
I would like to repeat my request as advised here and redo a form, should I repeat the truth and apologize or should I say that it is a mistake that I sent the photo without doing it on purpose? Or should I say my account was hacked and it's not me (if they can't see it)? Which of the three is the "best" to put the odds on my side?
Should I contact the Instagram support service at the same time?
If not possible, how can I recover my data (contacts and photo) with a deactivated account?
I can also say that I was the victim of phishing because of report+ (since I actually have a report+ account, which I deleted today). Will they be able to see why my account has been blocked? should I say that it comes from the photo of the child or from report +? I would like to be sure of my "speech" before sending a message in English via the form for the 2nd time. Also, I did not receive the email asking to send the code on white paper, when I first filled out the form two weeks ago.
I hope Insta will give me a second chance since this is the first time I have this kind of problem. My account has not been deleted, it is "only" deactivated and therefore I still have hope. Thank you very much for your help!
Hello Clara! I'm in the same situation as you… My account was also deactivated following the sending to a friend of a photo that was sent to me which I was rather shocked by 🙁 I wanted to know if you were able to find access to your account and if so in approximately how long 🙂
Lucia
For 2 months when I filled out the form I received this message: We cannot examine the decision concerning the deactivation of your account
The number of reviewers currently available is reduced due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, so we cannot review this decision at this time.
I have the same problem Ahmad.
I hope we will have an answer and that we can recover our accounts. Thanks
Hello, my instagram account has also been deactivated, although I have always respected the rules of the platform, the reason having been given to me being identity theft. after some reflection, I actually posted several photos that weren't mine but I doubt that the people concerned (like Daft Punk, Xavier Dolan or even NTM) will report my account, moreover I posted them all there several weeks, months, even 1 year for some. My problem being that when I try to send the call request I get a message saying “There was a problem with this request. We are working on its resolution as quickly as we can. ". It's been 4 days already, I don't know what to do.
Hello, I have exactly the same thing as you, when I send the request I receive this message:
There was a problem with this request. We are working on its resolution as quickly as we can.
Were you able to recover your account?
Can you help me please.
Hello,
Thank you for this super detailed article. It's been ten days now since my Instagram account was deactivated overnight, while in my publications I have always respected the rules of the social network. I really pay attention to what I post and everything is always correct and respectful. I am therefore very surprised by Instagram's decision, which by the way, does not actually explain the reason for this deactivation!
I filled out the form correctly. I even did it several times because on other sites and forums, it was said that it was necessary to insist. But hey, I'll take your advice and be patient. But I think the delay is still more than 7 days 🙁 it can take several months I heard.
I hope I don't have to wait too long though.
Emily.
