You try to open google or any other website and you get the following error “ unable to connect to real chrome.google.com site » ? Do not panic ! It's probably because of your computer clock that is disturbed.
Browsers rely on our machines' clock to be properly synchronized to verify the SSL certificate.
If the computer's date, time, or time zone is not correct, you will get the following error message:
To correct this problem, here are the steps to follow to update the time on your computer.
- First, click on the date in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Next, select “Date and time settings”.
- Then click on the "edit" button to set a date and time manually.
- Adjust the date and time then click Edit.
- Close your browser and reopen it. Then try to revisit the website.
This method will fix the error “ unable to connect to real google site /website” and SSL certificate errors.
