Once you create an account, you can generate a contact directory, add profile photos, and receive replies to your messages in your personal inbox.
In theory, the service works with cell phone numbers worldwide. However, I have no way of verifying this. The number of characters in messages is limited to 130.
OpenTextingOnline
OpenTextingOnline is a texting site that allows you tosend free SMS online without creating an account.
It works in around 50 countries. Most of North America and'European Union is covered. The same goes for some faraway places like India, Nepal, Panama and New Zealand.
Since you don't need to create an account, you can't receive replies to your text messages. And unlike sendSMSnow, email replies are not available.
The maximum number of characters per message is 140.
Send anonymous SMS
Another way tosend SMS by computer is to send an anonymous SMS with the service SendAnonymousSMS.
You won't even have to create an account on the site. Just fill in the phone number of the person to reach and your SMS. That's all, now you can troll your comrades.
