If you regularly read articles from FunInformatique, you probably know that Tor is a browser, focused on security and anonymity.
Tor Browser will allow you to browse the internet blocking all trackers and other cookies, bypass surveillance, blocks and censorship.
In short, it's a top-notch web browser for those who never want to be tracked.
Until recently, it was only available on computers. Now a stable version is also available for Android smartphones.
The Tor team have just released the first official browser version Tor for Android. The first alpha version of Tor was released in September 2018. As you might expect, there were a lot of bugs and stability issues. But this time it's a real stable version.
Si Tor Browser is available under Android, the same does not apply to iOS. Indeed, the fault of the restrictions imposed by Apple.
The Tor team states on its website: "Although we cannot offer an official Tor browser on iOS due to Apple restrictions, the only application we recommend is Onion Browser, developed by Mike Tigas with assistance from the Guardian Project".
The Tor browser is presented as an alternative to VPN in order to escape surveillance. It also suffers from a sulphurous reputation because it also serves as a gateway todarknet access and the illegal activities often associated with it (sale of weapons, drugs, etc.)
