Wi-Fi Guard is a small free application which, once launched, alerts you when a new one connects to your Wifi router. He monitors your network in order to quickly detect any intrusions.
In general, modern WiFi networks are well protected, but there are a number of weaknesses that can be exploited to recover your WiFi password, such as brute force attacks.
Wi-Fi Guard lets you know immediately if your network is being used without your knowledge.
This is a specialized network scanner that scans your network at regular intervals to quickly spot unwanted connections. Even if a machine blocks the ping thanks to its firewall, the latter is able to detect it anyway.
During the first use, you will have to add the machines of your network to the green list and then let the software run. And when a new MAC address appears, WiFi Guard will alert you!
Wi-Fi Guard is available on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. It will be very useful if you have any doubts about the security of your wifi network.
