Try restarting Discord
Well, the first thing we're going to advise you to do is simply to see if it's not a bug that just appears once. The simplest way to do this is simply to restart Discord.
Since we don't have access to the options to close the application, we will simply go through the task manager and there you have two options. The first is if you have access to the taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
You will then just have to left-click on it and search the different options available to you for the task manager. Then click on it and you should see it open on your screen.
If you don't have access to the taskbar, the shortcut to make it appear is CTRL + ALT + DEL. You will then see a screen appear and you can select the task manager. All you will then have to do is close Discord and try to open it again to see if the problem is solved. To do this, right-click on the Discord process, then select End of task.
Update graphics drivers
The second reason which may explain that a black screen appears on Discord, you have graphics drivers that are too old. For this, the solution is simple, you must go to the website of the manufacturer of your graphics card.

Attempt to clear the Discord app cache
The other fairly simple option that can be offered to you is simply to clear discord app cache and for that there is a small manipulation which will have to be carried out.
- The first step is to close Discord.
- Then simultaneously press the button Windows and R which will open a small window.
- In it, type %appData% which will open a new window with a whole bunch of folders.
- Then find the Discord folder and click on it.
- You will then have a lot of subfolders in front of you, but only two will interest us, the folders cache, Cache code, and GPUCache.
- Once you find them, delete them.
Reinstall Discord
If despite your best efforts, Discord keeps showing a black screen, you may have a problem installing your application that is ruining everything. For that, what you need to do is uninstall it.
