Is your Android smartphone out of space? Your iPhone is lackingstorage space ? Why not create your own Cloud ? So you could synchronize the files with your computer to keep a copy and delete them from your smartphone.
Fullerenes online storage services are proliferating on the Internet, and it has become difficult to choose who to entrust with your important data. Some are paid, others are free, most have a storage space limitation, it's a real jungle!
And with these services generally arises the confidentiality issue: we don't necessarily want to entrust our data to Google, via its Drive, or to Microsoft, via OneDrive. The idea of store personal photos and videos on the Internet can make you uncomfortable.
With Daemon Sync, You can create your own cloud for free, with which your data is saved only on your computer.
What is Daemon Sync?
Daemon Sync is software that allows you to synchronize files between your PC and your mobile devices on iOS and Android. It also makes it possible to save photos and videos to a personal Cloud which is relatively easy to use and secure.
Synchronization with your mobile devices is done over Wi-Fi. online storage, no subscription to pay, you have complete control over your data.
However, there are a few constraints: the different devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your PC, which must obviously be left on.
Create your own Cloud with Daemon Sync
For Daemon Sync to work, you must download install software on your pc.
Then download and install the application for Android ou iOS on your smartphone.
All devices must be connected to the Wi-Fi network from your Internet box.
When you launch Daemon Sync on your phone, the app searches for a server. A priori, there will be only your computer: select it. You are asked for a pin code.
On your PC, click on the arrow at the bottom right of your screen to display the hidden icons, then right click on the Daemon Sync icon and Obtain a PIN code.
Enter this code on your phone.
On your phone, click on the 3 dots at the top right, then on Photos. Your photos and videos are available to you. Tap on Section at the top right and choose the photos you want to cloud.
Finally, press the share button at the bottom right.
You could also activate the automatic synchronization to automatically download all your photos. To do this, click on the 3 dots at the top right, then on Settings. Check automatic synchronization.
The operation can be quite long. Warning: Wifi must not be deactivated for the duration of the synchronization, and the computer must remain on.
