Microsoft unveiled Windows 11 during its conference on June 24, 2021 as the latest version of the operating system Windows.
Naturally, you will probably want to know if your computer Windows 10 will be able to run the new update and benefit from new features. Microsoft has a handy tool to help you check.
Microsoft has released an application " PC HealthCheck » which, among other things, can tell you if your PC meets the system requirements to run Windows 11 . These system requirements can also be found on Microsoft's website if you are interested.
For check if your PC Windows can run Windows 11, download the PC Health Check app (clicking on the hyperlink will start the download immediately).
Next, open the downloaded file and agree to the terms to install it.
Then check the box “ Open Windows PC HealthCheck »And select« finish"
You will see a section Windows 11 at the top of the app. Select the blue button “ Check now ».
A window will open and say either “ This PC can run Windows 11 " or " This PC cannot run Windows 11"
Press on " Learn more » to open a web page with more information about system requirements. That's all we can say about it!
If you receive the message that your PC cannot run Windows 11 , chances are it has to do with Secure Boot or Trusted Platform Module (TPM). These are security features that may cause the Health Check app to consider your PC as insecure and, therefore, not compatible with Windows 11.
But don't worry, Microsoft has said it will continue to support Windows 10 until October 14, 2025.
