Using a proxy allows you to hide your IP address when surfing, but it is often difficult to set up for beginners. With Stealthy, using a proxy becomes child's play.
Stealthy is an extension for Chrome and Firefox developed by the company of the same name that will allow you to connect to the net through proxy. More precisely, you “borrow” an IP other than yours: that of your proxy.
This extension gives you a way to access content that is blocked for you.
Streaming sites that exclude Internet users based on their geographic position will no longer be able to do so since for them, you will be an American resident.
Stealthy offers three operating modes:
- connecting via any proxy that the extension automatically selects from a whole bunch of proxies from around the world,
- the exclusive connection via a US proxy to access services limited to that country,
- the choice of a country using Country codes.
No need to manually enter the coordinates of a proxy every time you want to connect, Stealthy reduces these operations to two or three clicks.
After installation, simply choose the destination of your proxy, start the extension and that's it!
Once installed, a small red airplane icon icon will appear next to your address bar in your browser. Click on this icon to activate it and enter the URL of the site you want to access.
Be careful, a proxy does not encrypt information as with a VPN and we do not necessarily know who manages all these proxies, so be careful what you pass through the network.
For those who think that by having the possibility of changing ip you will then be anonymous, make a big mistake! Especially in Europe.
