What is a DNS?
DNS are servers that allow domain names to be transformed (like www.funinformatique.com) to an IP address (type 22.214.171.124).
For simplicity, DNS allows to make the relation between the domain name and IP address. It's a bit like your phone book which matches the name Ahmed to his phone number.

There is a small software called QuickSet DNS Which allows you to easily change DNS servers used for your internet connection. You can set the desired DNS servers from the user interface, choosing from a list that you have defined.
To add a new server just click on File -> New DNS Server and enter the name of it as well as the corresponding IP addresses and you're done.
Note that QuickSetDNS provides the IP addresses of Google's public DNS servers by default.
